Nichola Ellis

Founder of The Lighthouse Company, Nichola Ellis is actively involved in raising the level of consciousness.  Through her own journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth, she became aware of her fierce commitment to bring peace and compassion to others.  Conscious of the impact that films bring to worldwide audiences, she realized she has a great opportunity working with filmmakers who share her passion to reach global audiences.

Through her involvement with the launch of “Cinema for Peace” in Los Angeles, she was instrumental in inviting Dr. Deepak Chopra to be the keynote speaker in March 2003; and at the 2004 Berlin International Film Festival, Ms. Ellis invited director Shekhar Kapur to be one of the presenters for the evening, which raised 300,000 Euros for UNICEF and amFAR.  Later that year she attended the teachings of the Dalai Lama in Pasadena, and in 2006 toured with Dr. Deepak Chopra and friends to the Himalayas.  She is a regular student and graduate of the Center for Personal Transformation.

Nichola Ellis began her career in the publicity department of Columbia Pictures at Columbia-EMI-Warner in London, and worked on her first-feature film and her first Royal Premiere of the Academy-Award winning film GANDHI directed by Sir Richard Attenborough, starring Sir Ben Kingsley.  Her publicity career continued on major box-office hits including Tootsie, Ghostbusters and The Big Chill.  She then went on to handle independent UK campaigns for highly acclaimed successful films as Highlander, Field of Dreams, Last Exit to Brooklyn and Dances with Wolves.

In 1990, Ellis moved to Los Angeles and joined Dennis Davidson Associates, a renowned international PR agency with offices in London, New York and Sydney.  At DDA, her clients included Castle Rock Entertainment, New Line Cinema, Largo Entertainment, Spelling Films where she was responsible for such international campaigns as City Slickers, Misery, Malcolm X, The Usual Suspects.
